The Engineering Honor Society at The University of Texas at Austin
Home
Tau Beta Pi is an interdisciplinary engineering honor society that recognizes students with high academic achievement as well as a commitment to personal and professional integrity. Established in 1885 at Lehigh University, TBP is the second oldest collegiate honor society in America.
Our Texas Alpha chapter, founded in 1916, focuses on three pillars: Social, Service, and Professional. In doing so, we promote community service and foster a spirit of liberal culture in the Cockrell School of Engineering. We also provide members with various speakers from the engineering field throughout each semester.
