About TCMHCC

The Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges, as well as improve the state’s mental health care system for children and adolescents.

In 2021, the Texas Legislature approved federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to expand services provided by several of the Consortium’s initiatives.
