We are excited to welcome Dr. Chandra Muller as the plenary speaker for this year’s TEXPOP conference.

Dr. Muller will present her talk, “Social and Biological Pathways from Education to Cognitive Functioning at Midlife,” exploring how educational experiences shape cognitive health later in life. Her research sheds light on the mechanisms—both social and biological—that link early life opportunities and environments with midlife cognitive outcomes, providing critical insights into health and aging disparities.

Dr. Muller is the Alma Cowden Madden Professor of Liberal Arts in Sociology at the University of Texas at Austin and a leading scholar in the fields of education, social stratification, and life course research. She is widely recognized for her innovative work using longitudinal and biomarker data to understand how social factors influence long-term health and wellbeing.

Join us for this insightful and timely plenary session that bridges education, health, and population research.
