The Project tries to provide a quality experience for volunteers, while also respecting both the environment as well as the residents of our partner neighborhoods. We hope that all our volunteers will make every effort to carpool, ride our provided buses, or take public transportation to and from the event to decrease our environmental and residential impact. We provide some transportation to and from the UT campus, and encourage the majority of our volunteers to carpool to check-in and to the work sites.
Shuttle Buses:
Shuttle buses will be available all day on a LIMITED basis for volunteers who would like to ride. Bus pick-up and drop-off will be at the UT campus, Student Services Building (100 W. Dean Keeton St). More information on bus sign-ups will be coming soon.
Shuttle Schedule:
Shift 1 pickup at the SSB: please arrive by 8:30am; buses will leave as they fill
Shift 2 pickup at the SSB: please arrive by 11:30am; buses will leave as they fill
Drivers:
Volunteers are welcome to drive to The Project headquarters to check in, and then to their sites after kickoff. Carpooling is encouraged! Parking is available in the parking lot of Northeast High School which is our headquarters. Parking around volunteer sites is limited so please try to park in designated parking lots and be aware of neighborhood residents.
Public Transportation:
Capitol Metro Bus #10 travels from the campus area to Northeast High School. Routes and times can be found on the Capital Metro website, and we encourage the use of public transportation! It’s free with your UT ID!
