The Weather Balloon mission aims to design a high altitude balloon testbed to be used as a risk testing platform by other TSL missions.
Weather Balloon is currently creating a testbed apparatus that is compatible with other mission’s equipment to allow for testing at near-space altitudes. By providing a near-space environment for testing, the Weather Balloon team will allow other missions to validate their technologies and equipment before committing to more costly and complex space launches. Additionally, the payload will act as its own CubeSAT that is trackable and recoverable.
