Microsoft has heard rumors that ECE orgs will need to charge $5k for sponsorship

Untrue and Sarah will verify with Nancy

Dean of Students Safety training

Required of all orgs on campus, info on website is outdated

Training info sent to outdated e-mail addresses and then orgs get threatening letters

Confirmation of training done via email

Sarah will check with Livy about requesting that certificate of completion be handed out at

training to help stop miscommunication

Sponsored Org

Need to go to new authorized rep orientation required, coming up in next few weeks, looking

for volunteers 4/27 5:30-7, 5/6 10-11:30am

Matt has volunteered to attend on 5/6 – this has been reassigned to Qian to attend May 4th at

3pm

Connect Program

Finder’s fee discussed – 15%?, Connect info packet requested from Nancy

Possible % point jumps when company becomes Connect partner?

Connect exclusivity is not a very functional for orgs

Liked the idea of a Connect Brunch/Lunch/Dinner with ECE students, or maybe standalone ECE

UAB Meeting 4/24/15

Absent: Zack (EE rep – study abroad), Jason (2nd Year rep – out of town), Sabee (MaL rep – no show)

Rotation is too long based on semester or year

** Sarah’s position work as chair/moderator – making sure everyone gets heard – APPROVED

Primary contact officer in UAB (student) to help with paperwork – volunteer basis, determine at

end of semester for at least Summer to end of Fall

Worst case set up gmail @ UAB account, Will can get help from Tyler

Start thinking about election logistics

How do orgs operate with companies? – Do we restrict orgs from who they reach out to

for sponsorship or leave it open? Orgs would need to still be able to reach out to all

companies. Come up with a plan for each option
