Curriculum Reform
The Academic Affairs committee, along with professors and faculty from the ECE department, are working on bringing about changes to the ECE curriculum. Changes include creating more relevant four-year plans, reforming the general ECE requirements, and tailoring the cores to fit the students needs. To do this, we need your feedback; fill in the suggestion box form, or reach out to us through one of our many communication channels, and give us your feedback, suggestions, and advice, so that we can take it to the professors, and bring about the change you want to see in the department.
ECE Business
The Academic Affairs committee is also currently working with Dr. Tewfik on the development of a student-run company within the ECE department. The goal of this company is to provide ECE students with real-world experience by developing hardware or software solutions to issues faced by the UT and Austin communities.
Responding to students needs
No matter what else we’re doing, the ECE UAB is committed to meeting student needs. We act on all feedback or advice we receive, so bring any concerns, feedback, or advice you may have about the ECE department so that we can help spearhead the path to a better ECE undergraduate experience at UT.
