Outreach is a subsection of Team Stuart that specializes in science communication, community outreach, and other things not specific to a particular team within Urban Ecosystems.
Members of the Outreach project connect with the community through various means to promote and raise awareness about the research done in Urban Ecosystems. This may include going to schools, presenting research at museum events, and managing the official Urban Ecosystems website. Our podcast and blog are some of our main outreach forums.
The Austin Area Urban Nature Roundtable website is also managed by members of Outreach. The website is a hub for Austin’s environmental organizations to cross collaborate and share recent/upcoming projects.
