Desne P. Wharton is a first-year M.F.A. Integrated Media student from Washington, D.C. As a multimedia designer, she has worked across live performance, film, and television. Some credits include The Colored Museum (The Center for Performing Arts, PGCC), fuckin loud (Hollywood Fringe Festival), and Forever (Netflix). In her first year, Desne served as the media designer for two dance pieces, Shift ___ and The Resolution, The Benediction. Looking ahead, she will be the media designer Ain’t No Mo’ in the Spring of 2026. Desne’s mission is to provide representation and mentorship for young, Black people interested in theatre and film production, helping them recognize and pursue both creative and technical careers, and inspiring the next generation of designers and technicians.
