Gavin Strawnato (They/He) is a second-year MFA candidate studying lighting design though they also loves working in scenic and integrated media and photography. He is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and also loves to write, direct, and dramaturg. They are fascinated by the intersections of the natural, scientific, and artistic worlds and seek to understand the universe better as a practice of his art. Credits include Tea a Mirror of Soul (Buttler Opera Center) Romeo y Juliet (UT theatre) Remember (UT Studio Series) and Undead,(Ventana Ballet). He is excited to return to playwriting for his thesis project next spring.
