Leah Hummel (Costume Design & Education)(They/She) is an M.F.A. Live Design candidate at the University of Texas at Austin. Leah is a Chicago native, costume and props designer, drag performer, stitcher, and teaching artist. They hold a B.F.A in Theater Design & Technology from Western Michigan University. As a designer in Chicago, she has worked with Strawdog Theatre Company (Jeff Award Nomination for Best Costume Design), Raven Theatre, The Neo-Futurists, The Wilmette Center for the Arts, and the Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. As an educator, Leah taught theater crafts at Niles West High School, Yachad Chicago, and the Arc of the Capital Area.
