Sydney Sousa (Integrated Media)(She/Her) is a third-year M.F.A. in Theatre ( candidate, media system designer, and media server programmer. She received her B.A. in Lighting Design and Technology from The College of Charleston. Before attending The University of Texas at Austin, she was a touring media technician for Disney On Ice (Feld Entertainment), and over Summer 2022 toured with Hairspray the Musical Broadway Tour (NetWorks). She was also the resident projection designer for the Utah Festival of Opera and Musical Theatre for their Summer 2023 season. Design credits within UT include assistant projection designer for The Tasters (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2021), projection designer for Sawubona (PIVOT – Texas Theatre and Dance, 2022), Shakespeare Gala (Butler Opera Center, 2022), and Address the Body! (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2023).
