On August 20th, 2024, Li Wan presented our latest research on strengthening Architected Instability-based Metamaterials (AIMs) at the Society of Engineering and Science Annual Meeting.
On August 5th, 2024, Dr. Zhang was invited to present the research project “Deployable Microstent for Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)” at the 30th International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences (ICCES2024) in Singapore.
On October 10th, Dr. Leo de Waal shared his research Functional Grading of Honeycombs Using Origami Techniques, with UT students in the Advanced Mechanics of Materials and Structures class.
On September 12th, Dr. Zhang was invited to speak about “Architected Material Analogs of Shape Memory Alloys” at ASME’s Premier Conference on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures, and Intelligent Systems 2023 (SMASIS).
On January 27th 2023, Dr. Zhang shared the research work “How to Use Architected Materials to Enable Novel Properties” at University of Cambridge Engineering Department Structures Research Seminars.
On October 31st 2022, Dr. Zhang will share research progress on ‘How to Use Architected Materials to Enable Novel Properties’ at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
