The Vertical Flight Society at UT Austin is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of vertical flight technology. As the university chapter of the international Vertical Flight Society, we provide opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals, engage in technical projects, compete in DBVF, and explore career paths in vertical flight systems.
Our chapter brings together students from any engineering or technical background who share the same passion for aviation innovation as we do! Through workshops, industry speakers, design challenges, and company tours, we aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world aerospace applications!
MISSION
” We want to advance vertical flight through all things rotorcraft “
Our mission is to inspire and prepare the next generation of aerospace innovators by fostering student interest in vertical flight technology, providing hands-on learning experiences, and building strong connections with industry professionals. Our chapter is dedicated to creating opportunities for collaboration, technical growth, and professional development while building a community here at UT – Austin.
