On behalf of the Texas Education Agency and Educational Testing Service (ETS), Oak Hill Technology, Inc., is preparing to hold a committee meeting in Austin during October to review the frameworks for the Computer Science educator certification exam. Qualified participants for these meetings must hold a Texas certification in this subject. Educators with at least three years teaching experience in Texas or instructors of future Computer Science teachers at higher educational institutions or educator preparation programs are encouraged to apply. Texas recognizes that serving on a frameworks review committee supports the professional growth of educators. Certificates of Completion will be issued to participants following the meeting. The documented hours for committee work sessions may be applied toward Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements for the Standard Certificate renewal. At the present time, we are only ascertaining availability of qualified educators. We will reimburse for travel expenses and provide lodging. We will also reimburse the school for substitution costs. If you meet these qualifications and would be available to attend, please send your résumé toeducators@oakhilltech.com. If you are unavailable but would be interested in participating in such committee meetings in the future, please respond so that we may maintain your contact information for future reference. |
