Make sure your voice is heard by taking the survey today!
The Texas Public Input Survey will close at 5 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018
We know the WeTeach_CS community is committed to ensuring that all Texas K-12 students have access to the computer science and computational thinking experiences they need to be successful in the Innovation Economy of their future. That’s why we want to make sure you’re aware of an opportunity to make your voice heard and provide feedback that could affect public education goals and planning through 2030. As part of the Long-Range Plan for Public Education, the Texas State Board of Education and its appointed steering committee are seeking public input on four areas of particular interest. These areas include Educator Preparation, Recruitment, and Retention; Equity and Access; Parent Engagement and Empowerment; and Student Engagement and Empowerment. While the survey does not cover professional development or computer science in any detail, the survey does include an open response “other suggestions” field at the end of each section and a longer “additional input” field at the end of the survey, which could be used to share your specific ideas or areas of concern.
