My Brother’s Keeper Coding Makerspace will be holding a student showcase on Saturday, May 13th from 1-4PM at the Carver Museum in Austin, TX. Coding Makerspace participants will demonstrate the Web VR projects they’ve been working on the during past few months. The program, run by Changing Expectations, is designed to encourage boys and young men of color to get involved in computer science and coding in order to foster an inclusive computing culture.

About My Brother’s Keeper Coding Makerspace
My Brother’s Keeper Coding Makerspace aims to teach boys and young men of color to code Virtual Reality scenes that can be used to create virtual reality websites and apps that can be shared with anyone. The program also gives participants the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurs and virtual reality developers while connecting with mentors from the tech industry and startup community.
