The Rice University School Mathematics Project (RUSMP) is hosting a Code.org CS Workshop for administrators, counselors, and educators next Thursday, February 16, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the RUSMP classroom. (Breakfast will be served.)
RUSMP invites administrators, counselors, and educators to participate in a workshop to sharpen understanding of why computer science (CS) education matters and to learn more about Code.org’s innovative curricula including AP CS Principles and CS Discoveries.
The RUSMP team will lead a discussion of the challenges facing K-12 CS education, provide an overview of Code.org programs, facilitate a lesson experience, and then hold a Q&A session.
Registration is required as seating is limited, and there is no cost to attend.
