Deadline Extended!
The deadline for the DIR Cybersecurity Awareness PSA Competition is now Friday, October 26th. The new deadline will give high school students three extra weeks during CyberSecurity Awareness Month create and submit their cybersecurity PSA for the contest. Teachers, this contest is an excellent opportunity to get your students involved with this vital topic.

October is CyberSecurity Awareness Month!
The Texas Department of Information Resources Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (DIR OCISO) has announced that they will be hosting a CyberSecurity Public Service Announcement competition for Texas high school students grades 9-12. Students are encouraged to learn about four designated cybersecurity topics and submit a 30 second PSA promoting cybersecurity awareness by October 26th in order to be considered for selection.
The competition categories are:
- Phishing
- Social Media
- Mobile Devices
- Hacking
