Computer Science Education Week is next week, December 5-11, and it’s not too late to register your local events on the Hour of Code website. Be sure to checkout all the ideas on hosting an event. There have been many new activities added this year, including one from CS4TX member, Bloxmob to build mobile apps. Another great idea is to involve parents and students together with a Family Code Night during CS Ed Week or any time of the year.
Those hosting CS Ed Week events are encouraged to invite local newspaper, TV, and radio stations, as well as, elected officials to attend your events during CS Ed Week. To find the representatives in your area, go to Who Represents Me? and enter your address.
Please spread the news and encourage district and campus administrators to take the CSforAll Pledge as soon as possible! We’d love to have as many schools in Texas take the pledge before this Friday December 2nd, but the pledge will continue to be open following CS Ed Week.
