If you’re out Ozona way, in west Texas, and looking for some competition for your CS students, then we have some good news! Registration for the Spring Ozona Computer Programming meet is still open.
For more information, checkout our previous post on this event.
In the meantime, there have been a couple updates to the event. These may help any teachers still on the fence about signing up their programming teams.
Schedule change to create a more “new to CS” friendly event
In place of the individual competition, originally scheduled for the morning, there will now be a mini-workshop-tutorial session to make sure everyone is up to speed for the main team competition in the afternoon. This is great for students (and teachers) new to CS and programming competitions.
Lunch Deal Changes
The per student price for the lunch deal has been reduced to $7. Also, they have worked a deal with a local restaurant to turn lunch into a fund-raiser for the school. So that $7 is not only buying lunch, but helping the school as well.
