UTeach CS Central Texas Collaborative’s summer UTeach CSP training (with stipend) in Austin is full and has a waitlist! While this exciting, it does mean there are teachers who may not get to participate in this PD and receive the stipend. But, not to worry, UTeach has informed us that there’s still time for teachers wanting to take part in UTeach CSP training this summer to apply for the Infosys Pathfinders Summer Institute, where UTeach CSP is a featured workshop. Participants who complete the course will receive a $1000 stipend from UTeach.
UTeach CS Principles is a featured workshop provider at the Infosys Pathfinders Summer Institute, where more than 800 US K-12 public school teachers will convene at Indiana University Bloomington for high-quality hands-on training. CS Principles is a College Board-endorsed survey CS course about the Internet, big data, social impact, algorithms and programming. The course is project-based and designed to engage all students, not just those typically interested in programming. CS certification is not required to teach this course. This course is a great first step for new CS students, new CS teachers and for schools wanting to offer more CS to its students.
