A new release of the WordPress for Texas (WFT) upstream is now available on Pantheon, which includes a multiple version jump for WordPress core and several plugin updates.
WordPress 6.3 and 6.4
The most recent previous release of WordPress for Texas included WordPress 6.2.2. This release includes all available updates since then, up to WordPress 6.4.1.
Site owners should review the release announcements for WordPress 6.3 and 6.4 to be familiar with the included changes:
Plugin updates
- Akismet: from 5.1 to 5.3
- WP SAML Auth: from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3
- WP Native PHP Sessions: from 1.3.4 to 1.4.3
- WP-CFM: from 1.7.5 to 1.7.8

Next release
Going forward, WordPress for Texas releases will follow any WordPress core releases within a week of the release date. Additional WFT releases may be created as needed for important plugin updates or bug fixes.
According to the WordPress roadmap, the next expected WordPress releases are:
- 6.5 – March 2024
- 6.6 – July 2024
- 6.7 – November 2024
