Last week Dr. Williamson travelled to Finland to serve as the “opponent” for doctoral candidate Yan Li’s dissertation defense. Yan successfully defended her dissertation, entitled Close Relationships Across the Life Span: Role of Early Life Stress, Attachment, and Emotion Regulation. Learning about academic cultures in other countries is always fun – in Finland you get a top hat with the University’s seal upon earning your PhD. Congratulations to Dr. Li!
