Dr. Williamson published an article in the National Council on Family Relations Report, in the special section Family Focus: Policies with Unintended Consequences. This is a brief that summarizes the results and policy implications of her previous research on efforts to support unmarried new parents with economic interventions. Dr. Williamson presented “A comparison of low-income vs. higher-income individuals seeking a relationship intervention” at the annual meeting of the Texas Council on Family Relations held this year in Austin. This presentation was offered for CE credit for attendees who included many counselors, therapists, and family life educators.

Williamson lab graduate student Thao Nguyen was named as a recipient of the the Society for Personality and Social Psychology Diversity Graduate Travel Award! This award provides $500 to underrepresented graduate students to pay for conference-related expenses. She was also honored at a special reception and had a mentorship meeting with three senior relationship science scholars. Congratulations Thao!
