Next Semi-Monthly Time Period Ends Tomorrow; Timesheet Status Detail Report
Tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 30, marks the end of our second semi-monthly time period in Workday. All hourly timesheets need to be submitted so that they can be final approved no later than Tuesday, December 4.
Timekeepers and Absence Partners can use the Timesheet Status Detail – RPT0378 report in Workday to show who in their units have hourly time unsubmitted or submitted time that has not yet been approved.

Virtual Lab Friday: Holiday Time and “No Hours to Report” – 10 AM – 11 AM
This week’s Virtual Lab Friday will focus on special timekeeping issues such as holiday time and “no hours to report.” Virtual Labs are web-based sessions using Zoom that focus on topics or scenarios that users have had questions about during the week.

Training is Back in Full Swing; View a Spreadsheet of Available Training; Get Registration Help
The schedule for November through January is set with enough offerings to get you through the first months after go-live. Eventually training offerings will decrease in number to target new employees. To see all current course offerings, along with a link to register, view the course schedule spreadsheet. The spreadsheet indicates the roles associated with each course. View this askUS article for instructions on how to see your roles in Workday.
We are happy to assist you by registering you for the courses you want to attend. Just email the Workday Training email at Workdaytraining@austin.utexas.edu with your name, EID, course name, date and time.
Who Can Adjust Leave Balances in Workday?
At the unit level, time-off balances cannot be adjusted manually for workers. In most cases, correcting time entry or time off requests will result in the needed balance adjustment. Both Timekeepers and Absence Partners can correct time entry and time off requests. The ETA command in DEFINE is no longer available for manual balance adjustments.
In the rare cases when correcting time entry and time off requests will not fix the balance, HR Records can be contacted to adjust the time off balances. Examples of this include time off taken prior to 11/1/2018 that was not entered in legacy and workers who report prior state service that affects vacation accruals.
Release Notes Available Online/Via Daily Email
Release Notes, which include known issues, fixes, improvements, and links to new guidance are posted daily to the Workday Release Notes page. You can also subscribe to receive a daily release notes issue.
