Save the Date: Annual Performance Appraisals Info Session – Sept. 12
Thursday, September 12, 2019, 10 a.m.-Noon
Avaya Auditorium, POB 2.302 | Livestream
The Annual Performance Appraisals in Workday Information Session will show attendees how to complete the Performance Appraisal process in Workday. In this session, representatives from Human Resources and Workday@UT will cover each of the different types of performance appraisal templates in Workday, along with routing, and HR best practices. Those with HR roles in Workday are encouraged to attend or tune-in to the livestream.
Communication Device Allowance (CDA) End Dates
Recently, Payroll Services communicated to HR Executives and Cost Center Managers about the need to update CDA end dates in Workday. All un-updated CDAs currently have an end date set to Aug. 31, 2019. Any CDAs that should continue past August will need to have their end dates removed or updated by initiating Request Compensation Change and Assign Costing Allocation processes. Both processes must be final approved before the Payroll deadline on Sept. 20. The reports and guidance below are available to help CSUs identify and update CDAs for their workers.

Confirm your Role Before Initiating a Change Job Transfer
Before initiating a Change Job to transfer a worker to another supervisory organization, make sure you support the proposed supervisory organization. Without the proper security role, you will not be able to make all of the necessary changes in the proposed supervisory organization in order to successfully complete the transaction. This will cause complications which may require contacting the Help Desk or even requesting a rescind of the transaction from Operational Support to resolve. You can check to see if you support a supervisory organization by using the My Supporting Roles report or navigating to the supervisory organization and clicking the roles tab. If you do not support the proposed organization, ask the receiving supervisory organization to Request Transfer instead. For more information about the Change Job business process, review the following materials and plan to attend the next Change Job Demystified training session being held on October 1.

New Report Available to Help Alert Workers to Expiring Comp Time
A new report is now available in Workday to help workers keep an eye any expiring compensatory they might have, so they can plan to use this time before it expires. The report Compensatory Time Expiring for Worker – RPT0823 will show any comp time set to expire during each of the eight weeks that follows the effective date supplied to the report.
