Our lab is located in CPE 1.168, CPE 1.106, and CPE 1.110 (1,700 sq ft in total) on the main campus of UT-Austin. Besides our owned lab equipment, we also have access to the Department of Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics’ shared material preparation room & fume hood, Aerospace Engineering Department machine shop, shared facilities in the Center for Mechanics of Solids, Structures and Materials, and other shared facilities on campus. Instron 68FM-100 Universal Testing Machine

Shimadzu HPV-X2 w/ Pulsed Laser Illumination
- Ultra-high-speed camera (Shimadzu HPV-X2) is able to capture extremely fast events at up to 10 million frames per second (fps) with 400 pixels x 250 pixels per frame
- High power pulsed laser illumination system (Cavilux Smart Laser Unit) can achieve 10 ns exposure time between two consecutive frames
