Fifteen community mental health centers volunteered to participate in early Zero Suicide activities, including committing to train all staff in a best practice suicide prevention curriculum and assess staff capacities in engaging, identifying, and serving individuals with suicide risk.
Denton County MHMR provided the initial leadership to pilot additional components of the Zero Suicide Framework in 2013. Expansion of these efforts was initiated in 2014 through a learning community model.
