Dr. Maheshbabu Jallu, Ph.D. Dr. Maheshbabu Jallu, Postdoctoral Research Fellow Research topic: Pavement geotechnics Previous degree(s): IIT Hyderabad and Swinburne University of Technology Description of research My research primarily focuses on pavement geotechnics, particularly the use of sustainable materials in pavement infrastructure. I completed my Ph.D. in Pavement Geotechnics through a joint program between IIT Hyderabad and Swinburne University of Technology, where I investigated the long-term performance of alkali-activated fly ash-stabilized RAP bases through a combination of experimental and field studies. My research interests span a broad range of pavement geotechnical topics, including alkali-activated cementitious materials, geosynthetic stabilization of roadways, numerical modeling of foundation soils and pavement instrumentation. Other experience In addition to my academic background, I have practical industry experience working as an Assistant Engineering Manager at L&T Heavy Civil Infrastructure, where I contributed to major geotechnical projects including the design of retention systems for the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation. I also served as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer at Arcadis where I was involved in several large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK, including the preparation of geotechnical investigation reports, damage assessment analysis for the Crossrail Project, and slope stability analysis for road and railway embankments.
