Research topic: Stabilization of soft subgrade soils

Previous degree(s): Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey

Fun fact: I can come up with the expansions of abbreviations easily.

Description of research

My research centers on the stabilization of soft subgrade soils through the utilization of geosynthetic materials. Through comprehensive experimental evaluations, my goal is to explore the fundamental mechanisms involved in stabilizing soils with low bearing capacity.

Other experience

With over two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) during my master’s degree, I actively engaged in teaching and research activities, with a specific focus on testing geosynthetic materials. As a crucial component of my research endeavors, I authored a thesis that delves into the development of a strain measurement technique for geosynthetic tensile tests using computer vision.
