Improving Self-Management of Diabetes in Persons with HIV

• The primary goal of this study was to test the feasibility of small-group educational session intervention to address self-management of a dual diagnosis of HIV and diabetes.

• Provide contacts for other collaborators in the HIV community
• 16 participants with HIV and 16 participants with HIV+DM

Research Plan

• Identify markers for future studies investigating Symptom Management
• Create a phenotype of persons with HIV who are at risk for developing diabetes.
