This website was created by the researchers in the Hygiene, Empowerment and Research for Social Impact team. The researchers aim to raise awareness of menstrual hygiene management needs in refugee camps through this site, as well inform future research on this topic. The information on this site is based off the research conducted in Austin, Texas from January to May 2019 and in Lebanon (Beirut and Saida) from May to August 2019.
Contents include project documents (report, preference surveys and machine designs), researchers profiles, photos from the implementation, the HERS blog, and our Bring it Back to Texas (BBT) portion of the project. BBT includes an art project created by the HERS researchers.
