LAH Literary Magazine-Echo Accepting Submissions

Echo is now accepting submission for the 2011 edition! Please submit your poetry, prose, and photography to echolitmag@gmail.com by March 28. Our theme this year is “Illuminate”. While this is the chosen theme, please do not limit the content that you submit; however, think of it as a general guideline with which you can explore the boundaries. “Illuminate” can mean a spiritual enlightenment, a clarification, or simply a change from dark to light. It can involve some sort of physical transformation or a realization (the familiar light bulb sparking in your mind). The possibilities are endless and are yours for the taking. We feel you all are an enlightened group full of energy and pizzazz, and we look forward to a fine batch of submissions. Please feel free to submit any number of pieces in any or all of the categories!

Sincerely,

The Echo Team

P.S.
If you are interested in helping out the Echo Team read submissions and put together the magazine, sign the sheet in the LAH office and we will get back to you!

Registration is just around the corner-Call the LAH office to set up your advising time

It may feel like fall, but spring is in the air. Spring registration that is!

The Spring Course schedule will be available online October 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Before you register, you should see us for advising. Just call 471-3458 to set up a time with Linda or Stacey. Don’t email us, as it’s too hard to go back and forth choosing a time. Calling is much more efficient.

We will have the lower-division honors course sign up  book available on Wednesday, October 13. To secure a seat in a lower-division honors course, you must sign up in the book.

Upper-Division LAHers, Remember that for any upper-division LAH course (LAH 350s)  you can register on your own as long as you have close to 60 hours and a 3.5 gpa. IF you are pursuing a dual degree in another college, you  will need to contact us during your registration time to be manually added into the class if the class is open.

Registration tip: for upper-division cross-listed LAH courses, it might be easier to register for the class under it’s cross-listing. Especially Government/LAH 350. If you are a Government major, and want an LAH 350 class that is cross-listed, you should go to the Government department to be added into the class. It will still count towards LAH under it’s cross-listing.
