The Texas Exes is seeking nominations from students for two awards that honor members of the UT faculty and staff.

The Jean Holloway Award for Excellence in Teaching is presented annually to a teacher in the College of Liberal Arts or Natural Sciences who demonstrates a warm spirit, a concern for society and the individual, and the ability to impart knowledge while challenging students to independent inquiry and creative thought.
The award amounts to more than $4,500, and the recipient is recognized with a ceremony in the spring. The nomination and selection process is done solely by students.

The James W. Vick Award recognizes individuals who improve undergraduate students’ overall experience at UT Austin through outstanding academic advising.

Each year, five academic advisors are awarded $500 and are recognized with a ceremony in the spring. The nomination and selection process is done solely by students.
