2024-25 Brumley Fellowships Now Open!

Attention Longhorns!

Applications for the 2024-25 Brumley Next Generation Graduate Fellows and Undergraduate Scholars programs are now open! These unique opportunities for UT students provide opportunities in policy-oriented research training, mentorship, collaboration, and networking to students from varied disciplines across the Forty Acres.

For Graduate Students: The Brumley Fellows Program

  • Participation in Brumley Speakers Series events and colloquia
  • Original research and writing, conducted under the mentorship of a UT faculty member
  • $3,000 stipend contingent upon participation in Strauss Center events
  • Additional funding for travel or research

For Undergraduate Students: The Brumley Scholars Program

  • Participation in PA 325 Next Generation Scholars Research, 3-credit policymaking crash course taught by professors Dr. Michael Mosser and Stephanie Holmsten
  • Original research, writing, and presentation practice
  • $750 stipend awarded in Spring 2025
  • Travel to Washington, DC as part of the annual Brumley Scholars DC study trip
