Who can join?
Membership in the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) is open to all faculty members and staff employed at least 20 hours at The University of Texas at Austin, regardless of religion, age, race or color, martial status, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation. |
How can I join?
Please click here to fill out the BFSA Membership form. Completed forms and membership dues can be delivered to the BFSA Treasurer at a general body meeting. If you would like to deliver your form and membership dues outside of a scheduled meeting, please email the BFSA Treasurer at bfsatreasurer@austin.utexas.edu. |
Membership Dues
Dues for membership in BFSA are $20 per year, and members are encouraged to contribute at least an additional $10 to the Dr. James L. Hill Scholarship Fund. |

Favorite thing about BFSA: Every time we meet up as an organization (both e-board and general body). You all give me life and that more abundantly.

Interest: As a doctoral student, right now my interests lie in my research on advancing the careers of women in higher education. When I have time for pleasure, I like to read and take cruises.
Favorite thing about BFSA: That it brings together a community of folks who care about keeping UT a diverse and inclusive place to learn and work.
