Welcome!

I have served on the faculty of the Cockrell School of Engineering since 1993, and I am currently appointed to the Clare Cockrell Williams Centennial Chair in Engineering. I also served as the ASE-EM department chair from 2012 to 2020. My research is in the general areas of compressible turbulent flows and turbulent combustion with an emphasis on the use of laser imaging diagnostics to study these flows. My current work focuses on 3D shock wave/boundary layer interactions, inlet unstart control, flashback in high pressure combustors, turbulent combustion with non-equilibrium, and high-temperature ablation. I teach courses in compressible flow, viscous flow, combustion, experimental methods, and laser diagnostic techniques.
