CM2 consortium partner institution Texas Southern University Center for Transportation Training and Research (TSU-CTTR) is conducting research showing vulnerability of people living in the megaregion interstices (nonurban areas between the major Texas Triangle cities) and, secondarily, showing that transportation gaps decrease quality of living for these residents. Two previous workshops encouraged dialog about identification of these communities and explored research findings to-date. You can view the official report regarding these series of TSU’s megaregion workshops HERE.
A third workshop, Crafting the Megaregion Problem Statement for Vulnerable Communities in Texas, hosted in collaboration the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), will be held on March 31, 2022 via Zoom 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT to continue discussion and consider strategies to increase implementation of projects that would benefit residents in the communities.
This workshop is for transportation researchers and professionals interested in megaregional research. Please register to attend using the Zoom Registration Link provided. After registering successfully, guests will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
