Where is the Maker Space located?
We are currently located in Welch Hall room 2.132, at the University of Texas at Austin.
What are the Maker Space’s Hours of Operation?
The Maker Space is typically open between 9 am- 5pm Monday- Friday.
What can I use this space for?
This space is available to any UT student for school-related or independent projects. You can work on prototyping for a class project or just come and 3D print a keychain for yourself. The possibilities are endless!
What type of Equipment do you have?
The Maker Space features a variety of 3D printers (Ultimaker and FormLabs), laser cutters (Drexel and GlowForge), and electronics.
Can I just walk in or do I need to sign-up?

What if I don’t know how to use any of your equipment?
Before coming into the lab, anyone who wishes to use the equipment will have to complete a skill module about the equipment they intend to use. Additionally, peer mentors will be present in the lab and can assist with any further questions or troubleshooting.
