Central Texas HIV & Sexual Health Practice-Based Research Network As part of its mission to foster not just community-informed, but community-driven research, the ICHR has dedicated much of its effort to supporting the establishment of a local Austin-area practice-based research network focused on identifying the research gaps that exist locally around HIV and sexual health, and closing them. To date we have received commitments from numerous local providers of HIV and STI prevention and treatment, including: Vision of the PBRN An academia-community partnership that innovatively improves the health of people affected by HIV. Mission of the PBRN Create a research network led by community clinicians and leaders in collaboration with UT Austin researchers focused on HIV-related health outcomes by: 1. Establishing a formal steering committee of clinical leaders2. Supporting pilot projects via PBRN collaborations3. Connecting community, clinics, and researchers to strengthen the community of HIV care providers4. Exploring opportunities for continued funding
