The Courtyard Gallery is an exhibition space located in the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center at The University of Texas at Austin. Our mission is to provide students and alumni of the Department of Art and Art History in the College of Fine Arts with exhibition opportunities as both artists and curators. Since 2008, we have featured the work of over 30 artists. The Courtyard Gallery features the work of alumni from the Studio Art program, with exhibitions organized by the student curatorial fellow in collaboration with the staff of the Visual Arts Center. Through our exhibitions we aim to extend the VAC’s mission of sparking generative conversations about art and contemporary society outside of traditional gallery spaces. We are always free and open to the general public.
