Dr. Ginsburg completed her B.S. in Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and M.S. at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She completed a two-year ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy administration at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in higher education administration and leadership in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently a Clinical Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Division, Associate Dean for Healthcare Partnerships, and G.D. Searle Endowed Fellow in Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy. She is an adjunct instructor in the Drug Enforcement Administration Teaching Academy and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. She has been active with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and served as President and a 3-year term on the Board of Directors. She has served ASHP in several capacities, including Chair, Council on Educational Affairs, AJHP Editorial Advisory Board, Texas Delegate, and Co-Coordinator National Clinical Skills Competition. She is the Co-Editor of Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment and an author and editor of ASHP’s Preceptor’s Handbook for Pharmacists. She was inducted as a Fellow of the ASHP in 1998. She also served as Chair of the ASHP Research and Education Foundation Board of Directors. She is a Past President of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) and the TSHP Research & Education Foundation. She has received several honors and awards, including the 2005 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, and is a 2016 recipient of the Texas Ex-Students Association Texas Ten Award recognizing the 10 most talented and inspiring professors at the University of Texas at Austin. Rebecca Brady, Pharm.D., DPLA, BCPS
Pharmacy Education Manager The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Pharmacy Services University HealthDr. Brady received her Pharm.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006 and completed a PGY1 in Pharmacotherapy and PGY2 in Solid Organ Transplant at University Health in San Antonio, TX from 2006 – 2008. After completing residency, she joined the clinical pharmacy faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy and was faculty until the end of 2016. Her career shifted in 2017, when she joined the University Health full-time as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Solid Organ Transplant, and transitioned to a management position with the Pharmacy Leadership Team in 2018. Dr. Brady served in several leadership roles but currently is University Health’s Pharmacy Education Manager. Dr. Brady’s pharmacy career has been focused on academia, clinical practice, and leadership. Overall, her goal is to contribute to the evolution of the pharmacy profession by promoting teamwork, education, and the development of others. Kirk E. Evoy is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Pharmacotherapy Division of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an Adjoint Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities within the college, Dr. Evoy also cares for patients as an ambulatory pharmacist within the University Health System in San Antonio. Dr. Evoy completed his Pre-pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy coursework at Purdue University. Upon completion of pharmacy school, he went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin followed by a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. In addition to his residency training, Dr. Evoy completed two teaching certificate programs and a Certificate of Added Training in Global Health and has earned Board Certification as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), Advanced Diabetes Manager (BC-ADM), and Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS). Dr. Evoy’s primary areas of research include substance use disorders and smoking cessation. His clinical interests include primary care, particularly diabetes management, smoking cessation and transitions of care, as well as global health. After graduating from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Dr. Gawrys completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the VA Hudson Valley HealthCare System in Castle Point, New York. Here, Dr. Gawrys was able to gain knowledge in the overall clinical and administrative aspects of patient care and the profession of pharmacy. From there, he completed a PGY2 residency in infectious diseases at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center where he was able to focus on his passion for antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease pharmacotherapy. Utilizing his experiences in PGY1 and PGY2, Gerard has served as an infectious disease clinical pharmacy specialist since August 2013, coordinating antimicrobial stewardship efforts with a multidisciplinary team at Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio. His day-to-day responsibilities include daily antimicrobial stewardship, infectious disease consultations, and precepting pharmacy students from UT Austin and UIW. Gerard serves as the residency program director for the expanding PGY1 pharmacy residency program at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital. Daniel Giddings, Pharm.D., BCPS, is an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center (SAMC), a position he has held since February 2016. Responsibilities include patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team, bedside pharmacist support of codes, trauma alerts, and resuscitations, process improvement, and patient counseling. In addition, Daniel serves as the director of SAMC’s PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program and is a preceptor for UT Austin pharmacy students interested in the ED. When not at work, Daniel likes to watch things grow, whether that is his veggies and blackberries in the garden or his 2-year-old daughter Linnea. Kristin Janzen is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. After graduating from UT College of Pharmacy, she completed a combined PGY1 & 2 Pharmacotherapy residency at Butler University and Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN. She currently practices at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in Internal Medicine, where she precepts fourth-year PharmD students and pharmacy residents on academic internal medicine rotations. She teaches throughout the didactic curriculum at the UT College of Pharmacy, focusing on pharmacotherapeutics, clinical pharmacokinetics, and application-based pharmacy practice labs. She has been recognized for both didactic and experiential teaching and has been awarded the UT Austin College of Pharmacy Educator of the Year, the Austin-Temple-Waco Region Preceptor of the Year, and Wm. Arlyn Koesel Preceptor of the Year Awards. She has also been recognized by the UT Center of Health Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) as a Health IPE Fellow. Her research and teaching interests focus on student preparedness for residency, interprofessional education, and core medicine disease states, such as pulmonology, cardiology, and diabetes. Dr. Johnson graduated with her Pharm.D. from Drake University in May 2014. After graduation, Heather completed a two-year Health System Pharmacy Administration (HSPA) residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio. During that time she obtained a Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She went on to complete a PGY2 Critical Care residency at AdventHealth (Florida Hospital) Orlando where she obtained extensive experience in critical care, cardiology, and transplant populations. After residency, Heather worked at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Cardiovascular Surgery and Cardiology Intensive Care teams. She then became Clinical Pharmacy Manager at the highest volume hospital in the state of Texas; Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital, where she worked with advanced specialties including burn surgery, ECMO, heart transplant, adult and pediatric BMT, CAR-T, and a Level IV NICU. Currently, Heather is a Clinical Specialist for the Department of Defense Formulary Management Branch. Heather is board-certified in both critical care and cardiology. Sarah Kubes, Pharm.D., BCPPS

Dr. Kubes was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences, then attended the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and graduated in 2011. Dr. Kubes continued her post-graduate education as a PGY1 resident at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Houston Medical Center and then a PGY2 pediatrics residency at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. Following residency, she accepted a position as a Pediatric Critical Care Clinical Specialist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In 2014, she relocated to San Antonio and took on the role of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Dr. Kubes joined the UT group in 2018 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Pharmacotherapy Division of the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin, as well as an Adjoint Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine and The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities within the college, Dr. Kubes is also responsible for clinical pharmacy services and caring for pediatric patients within the University Health System in San Antonio. Dr. Kubes also sits on the CTSHP board as a senior board member, has been appointed by the Texas Attorney General’s office and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a Texas Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board Member, serves as the Chair for the UT affiliated Residency Programs and vice chair for the general pediatrics special interest group for the Pediatric Pharmacy Association national organization. Her primary areas of research include quality improvement in pediatrics, cystic fibrosis and infectious diseases. Her clinical interests include pediatrics, infectious diseases and maternal health. In her spare time, she is a mom to 3 children, an avid gardener, baker, reader and chicken/turkey/pheasant/duck/quail/bunny/piggy tender. Dr. Claire Latiolais graduated from Purdue University with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. She went on to complete an ASHP-accredited Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency in The Houston Program at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Along with this program, she completed her Master’s in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She joined the faculty at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy (UTCOP) in 2018 and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Her role included serving as the Course Coordinator for the Institutional Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (I-IPPE). Additionally, her responsibilities included teaching Drug Information, Applied Pharmacy Management, Clinical Skills, and Hospital Pharmacy, as well as serving as the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) faculty advisor and Chair of the Admissions Committee. In the fall of 2022, Dr. Latiolais transitioned into a new role at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Drug Information and Formulary Management. In addition, Dr. Latiolais continued an appointment with UTCOP as the Experiential Regional Director for the Galveston/Houston Region. Dr. Latiolais is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) where she served on the 2019-2020 New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee, the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) where she serves on the Education Affairs Council and Chairs the Alcalde Southwest Conference Planning Committee, the Central Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CTSHP) where she served as a Board Member, Phi Lambda Sigma, Phi Delta Chi, and Rho Chi. Dusten is a Network Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas and the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director in Austin. He attended Michigan State University to complete pre-pharmacy requirements and received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Ferris State University. He completed his PGY1 at St. Mary’s Health in Michigan and specialty training in infectious diseases from UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Following residency, he moved back to the Midwest where he worked as the Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist at Indiana University Health. His clinical responsibilities were divided between rounding on the infectious diseases consultation service, maintaining an outpatient practice for HIV patients in the Indianapolis area, and working on several antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. He moved to Austin in 2014 focusing on inpatient antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacist and physician education, and the development of guidelines. He enjoys teaching UT College of Pharmacy students as an assistant professor of practice in the Infectious Diseases modules and precepting PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. Additional areas of interest include HIV, ID in immunocompromised patients, and antimicrobial resistance. Holli Temple, Pharm.D., BCPS

Dr. Holli Temple is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Division of the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She earned a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, a B.S. in Pharmacy, and a Pharm.D. from UT Austin College of Pharmacy. Prior to academia, Holli practiced hospital pharmacy at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center for 16 years. Holli incorporates her enthusiasm for hospital pharmacy and safe medication practices into the sterile compounding Basic Intravenous Admixtures course and associated lab, which she coordinates and teaches. In these courses, students develop the technical skills to aseptically compound preparations, apply knowledge of state and federal sterile compounding regulations to specific scenarios, and use a variety of drug information resources to determine how to accurately make a preparation. Holli also teaches in the Foundations of Patient Centered Care (FPCC) course and coordinates the Care and Respect for Elders (CARE) Program, which comprises the service-learning component of part of FPCC. The CARE Program partners first-year pharmacy students with community-dwelling older adults. Through the CARE Program, students provide companionship, practice communication skills, develop empathy, and learn about their older adults’ chronic medical conditions and associated medications. Additionally, Holli facilitates an interprofessional team in Foundations for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice and serves as Project Faculty for third-year pharmacy students working with community mentors to create and deliver a Population Health Project as part of the two-semester Foundations for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice courses. Neesha graduated with her Pharm.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004. She currently serves as the Pharmacy Clinical Manager and PGY1 Residency Program Director for St. David’s Medical Center, in Austin, Texas. She actively precepts UTCOP pharmacy students and residents and, in 2013, was named UT Preceptor of The Year- IPPE. Her pharmacy areas of interest include infectious disease, critical care, and wellness. Neesha currently lives with her husband and her rescue dogs: an Australian Shepherd and Border Collie/Heeler and currently an additional foster puppy.
