The University of Texas College of Pharmacy hosts the annual Preceptor Orientation and Training Conference every August for UT Austin College of Pharmacy Preceptors. Preceptor-faculty members provide a vital service to students within the college by helping students make the transition from classroom knowledge to work-site experience.

Conference Goal:
The goal of the Preceptor Orientation and Training Conference, is to introduce, update, reinforce and enhance the precepting skills of University of Texas-affiliated preceptor-faculty so that they may serve as effective teachers, mentors, and supervisors of UT pharmacy students and residents. Through presentations, workshops, networking and active learning, UT preceptor-faculty will design and administer a rotation that provides a unique, contemporary learning experience for students, and that can also be of benefit to the preceptor and the practice site.
Who should register:
* This event is open ONLY to pharmacists who currently serve as, or are currently applying to become, UT Austin College of Pharmacy preceptor-faculty, and UT affiliated PGY1 & PGY2 residents.
