In 2002, over 400 students and their parents residing in Northern California participated in the Davis Research Project by completing surveys. Four year later, in 2006, 79% of the original sample participated in a follow-up project. Another four years later, in 2010, 74% of the original sample participated in a follow-up project.
There are interesting findings relating to students’ high motivation for school, partner selection, and language use/translating activities at home. These findings are summarized in newsletters, which are sent to all the families who have participated in the project.
We are planning another follow-up in the near future. We look forward to your continued participation and request your updated contact information every time you have any changes!
