The Disabled Faculty and Staff Association was formed in Fall 2023. This University Resource Group (URG) will serve UT faculty and staff who identify as disabled, Deaf, neurodivergent, chronically ill, having a mental health disability or undiagnosed (among many other intersectional identities they may hold). This group recognizes that there are similarities and differences between these identities, with diverse needs, and all are acknowledged and welcome.

DFSA will strive to communicate the needs of these diverse groups to the campus community and celebrate the voices, identities, experiences, and talents of the group. Part of our goals are to connect faculty and staff who hold these identities to opportunities we find valuable, including but not limited to training and professional development, available support resources and information, and community-building spaces and events to connect with others.
