DFSA is in the process of creating specific resources for DFSA members.

Below are UT resources that may be relevant to disabled UT faculty and staff members.

Campus Resources for Faculty/Staff

Disability Cultural Center

The DCC serves as a hub on campus for community, education and advocacy for disabled students, faculty, staff and all members of the university community. 

Employee Accommodations

The University of Texas at Austin (University) provides reasonable accommodations to qualified employees with disabilities and to employees experiencing limitations associated with pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions under federal law. The determination of reasonable accommodations is a collaborative and interactive process between the University ADA Coordinators, the employee seeking accommodations, the employee’s supervisor, and/or other appropriate personnel (e.g., Human Resources or Leave Management) as needed.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 

The EAP provides brief counseling and consultation services, crisis intervention, assessment and referral, educational and training programs, and supervisory consultation. Phone: 512-471-3366, Email: eap@austin.utexas.edu

Gender Inclusive Restroom Locations 

The list offers its approximate location on campus with the building name, building code, room number, type of bathroom, and address.

Human Resources Service Center 

Human Resources provides innovative and strategic solutions to recruit, develop, reward and engage staff and faculty at the university. Phone: 512-471-4772, Email: hrsc@austin.utexas.edu

Lactation/Quiet Room Locations 

Lactation/quiet rooms are available at the following locations for students, faculty, and staff of The University of Texas at Austin who are nursing mothers or require rest for medical reasons related to a non-contagious condition. 

Title IX Office 

The Title IX Office seeks to provide leadership pertaining to the Title IX regulations, state laws, and University policies, as well as develop and implement best practices for prevention, training, resources, and support services at The University of Texas at Austin. University Ombuds Office

The Ombuds offices can help, whether it’s listening, directing you to the appropriate university office, identifying your options, or coaching you to prepare for a difficult conversation. UT has separate Ombuds offices dedicated to students, staff, and faculty.

Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL)

The Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) is available to address questions or concerns about the behavior of someone in our university community. Are you worried about a student you know, bothered that your roommate has been acting differently, or concerned about the behavior of a co-worker? If so, call BCAL 512-232-5050 or share your concerns online.

Call 911 for any immediate danger to people or property.

Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Office (CMDR) 

CMDR resolves conflict, repairs workplace relationships, and improves communication so that employees can thrive personally and professionally. Phone: 512-475-7930, Email: CMDR@austin.utexas.edu

Department of Investigation and Adjudication 

Department of Investigation and Adjudication (DIA) investigates allegations of discrimination, harassment, and other prohibited conduct. These claims can involve students, faculty, staff, contractors, applicants, visitors, and other members of the university community. As a neutral investigator, DIA supports the university in fostering a campus environment that is inclusive, respectful, and free from discrimination and harassment.
