Are you ready to showcase your energy research?
The UT Energy Week Interdisciplinary Energy Poster Competition invites all students and researchers from all universities and disciplines to present innovative research in energy and related fields. Share your work with a diverse audience of peers, academics, and industry leaders.
Participants will have the opportunity for recognition, networking, and up to $8,000 in prizes.
Research Competition Categories
Energy Technologies and Innovations
Focus on advancements in renewable energy systems, energy storage, grid technologies, and more.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: $2,000
- 2nd Place: $1,000
- Undergraduate: $750
- Audience Choice: $250
Energy Policy, Economics, and Sustainability
Address the crucial connections between energy systems and their implications for policy frameworks, economic models, and sustainable practices.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: $2,000

- Audience Choice: $250
Abstract Guidelines
- Abstracts must include: a title, names of all contributing authors, a method of contact, and a description of the key research findings.
- One relevant figure may be included (optional).
- The complete abstract must not exceed one page in length.
- Abstract text should be no more than 250 words in length.
- Files should be submitted in PDF (.pdf) format.
- No resubmissions will be accepted.
Abstracts should clearly articulate the results and impact of original, academically rigorous energy-related research.
How it Works
- Topics may include basic science, engineering, technology development, innovation, finance, policy, communications, lifecycle, socioeconomic and technoeconomic solutions.
- Students, post-docs, and scholars from any university are eligible and encouraged to apply.
- Submit your abstract to participate!
- Accepted abstracts will be notified within seven days of the abstract submission deadline.
- Selected participants will present their posters on Monday or Tuesday of UT Energy Week (time TBD).
- Posters will remain on display and winners will be announced at the Startup Night Reception on Tuesday.
