Are you ready to put your problem-solving skills to the test? The UT Energy Week Interdisciplinary Energy Case Competition invites UT Austin graduate students from all disciplines to collaborate, innovate, and develop real-world solutions to pressing challenges in the energy sector.
This year’s challenge focuses on Energy Resilience in Texas, requiring teams to develop actionable strategies that balance technology, policy, and market considerations. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and present their solutions to a panel of experts—all in a high-energy, fast-paced format!

Competition Schedule
- 8:00 AM: Breakfast & Case Competition Unveiling
- 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM: Team Work Session
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Team Presentations & Judging
- Evening Reception from 5PM to 7PM: Winner Announcements & Networking

How it Works
- Create a team of 3-5 graduate students from at least 3 different disciplines
- Fill out an application for your team to participate! Don’t have a team and want to have the chance to be placed in a team? Apply as an individual for a chance to be included in a team!
- Teams will receive the case challenge at the kickoff breakfast
- Present to a panel of expert judges
- Celebrate at the evening reception and connect with industry professionals
