Energy Technologies & Innovations
Research focused on novel energy solutions, including renewable energy systems, energy storage, grid technologies, and advancements in nonrenewable energy.

Energy Policy, Law, Finance, and Economics
Projects addressing the intersection of energy with policy, economic models, environmental impacts, and sustainable development goals.

A panel of judges comprising experts from academia and industry will score each category and award 1st, 2nd, and undergraduate prizes.
Event attendees and other competitors will vote for the “Audience Choice” awards.
Abstract Guidelines
Submitted abstracts should identify the competition category most closely affiliated with the work and adhere to the following requirements:
- Abstracts must include:
- a title
- the names of all contributing authors
- contact information, and
- a description of the key research findings along with relevant figures.
- Complete abstract must not exceed one page in length.
- Abstract description must not exceed 250 words in length.
- Abstracts files should be submitted in .pdf format.
- No resubmissions will be accepted.
Abstracts should clearly articulate the results and impact of original, academically rigorous energy-related research.
Submission Guidelines
Applicants must submit an abstract outlining their own energy-related research by 11:59pm, March 3, 2025, and will be will be notified by March 18, 2025, if they are selected to present in-person at the competition.
Applicants who are selected to present in the in-person competition must be present during a portion of the competition period; additional information will be provided after March 10, 2025. All applicants will be notified of their status following this date, regardless of whether they are chosen to advance or not.
